Ed-admin (Pty) Ltd was established in Australia in 2013 to address the software needs of educational institutions worldwide. Our core system, Ed-admin, was created 6 years prior to this and has been in constant development for over 15 years now. Developed by a team of education experts and piloted in various countries throughout Africa, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, Ed-admin’s vast experience with educational institutions has grown the company and the product into a world-class service, at the very forefront of educational management technology.
Ed-admin is a schools management system and covers everything from attendance, student marks and reports, parent fee billing, online assignments (LMS), online video classes, student special needs, student behaviours, boarding and extra-curricular activities and so much more which makes it the choice for schools in Southern Africa. We have clients across Africa that are using our international solution. We have one of the largest ranges of modules in a single system, meaning schools can manage all their functions off a single database and train one software to handle all their affairs.
Ed-admin is successfully in use in over 600+ campuses assisting 15,000+ teachers and administrators to effectively and efficiently educate and manage over 500,000+ students in 18 countries across the globe. We specialize in delivering effective school administration software meeting the unique needs of schools in the African Continent with over 90% of our client base coming from this region and nearly 50% from South Africa itself.
Ed-Admin and Entimex have been partnered for over 15 years, providing and supporting one of the best products for schools globally. Our clients currently include a market share of over 65% of the private schools in South Africa and many of the premier government schools in this region too.
Our end-to-end school management solution offers both a web-based portal for staff, students, parents and alumni, as well as a mobile app for each of these stakeholders. This ecosystem is offered as a fully managed cloud service so there is nothing our clients need to oversee or for their users to download and manage. After serious vetting, our cloud hosting partner of choice is Amazon Web Services (AWS) and we make use of their Cape Town hub so your data never has to leave South Africa’s borders which helps with both our, and your, POPI compliance.
Ed-Admin is also fully POPI and SASAMS compliant. With regards to POPI, both Ed-admin and Entimex take data security and the protection of client data extremely seriously. We have been certified by external experts as POPI compliant and we maintain ongoing controls and checks to ensure we sustain this. When it comes to SASAMS we have a complete database sync that is fully under your control and allows your staff to only work in Ed-admin with no duplication of effort in SASAMS. Many service providers claim SASAMS compliance, but the detail of their compliance is a critical question. Ed-admin is the only provider globally that currently meets 100% of the data requirements the DBE mandates for full SASAMS compliance.
