The International Benchmark Assessment for Mathematics

ACSI has been offering the IBA for Maths, Grade 6 since 2013. We cordially invite your school to participate again in 2019. This year we have expanded it to include Grades 5, 6 and 7 and the test is aligned with the Mathematics Core Curriculum of South Africa, Australia and Zimbabwe.

In 2018, 837 learners from 14 schools from South Africa and Zimbabwe wrote the Grade 5 and Grade 6 ACSI Math IBA. We would like to offer it to grade 5, 6 and 7 in 2019.
Please note the minimum number of total participating learners to go ahead with the IBA:
400 Grade 5
400 Grade 6
300 Grade 7

A school has the freedom to choose dates and times that suit them best between 7 and 25 October 2019. Different grades can participate on different dates. Tests are fully computerised and completed on a secure online platform by completing multiple choice questions.

Schools will receive an access code for every learner which will be activated on the chosen day. Important dates:
31 July 2019:              Final Enrolment date
5 August 2019:            All Learner Enrolment forms to be returned to ACSI.
31 August 2019:          50% payment to ACSI
27 September 2019:      Final payment to be made.
7 – 25 October 2019:     Test administration in schools.
30 November 2019:       Results and reports to schools.

What is the cost?
R115 per learner for ACSI member schools / R140 per learner for non-member schools
