Prescient Primary School

ACSI School Profile
Prescient Primary School is a Christian-based academy situated on the beautiful South Coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal. The meaning of ‘Prescient’ is to have knowledge of events before they take place. What started off as a dream amongst Church leaders, has turned into a school that is steaming ahead to create a change in the community, equipping our children with the knowledge they will need to go forth into the world and become their best versions – not only academically but spiritually too.
Our journey started with Little Life Pre-Primary School, and as parents saw a need to continue with holistic learning for their children, Prescient was born. We are currently in our second year, with 19 learners in Grade 1, and 14 learners in Grade 2, with plans in place for our Grade 3 class to begin next year. We have the most wonderful team of educators on the staff, who are trained and equipped to ensure that the children have the best environment to grow and thrive as individuals, including the development of their pillars of character – which are trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
While we are CAPS aligned, we do also follow international leading curriculums such as Singapore Maths, which has been acknowledged by many as the best Maths curriculum in the world. The children also participate in coding with Kids Coding Academy, whose aim is to teach code through play and to give kids the skills they need to adapt to an ever-changing world. We also take part in the Life Heroes programme, which, through Emotional and Life Skills Development, aims to help children recognise, understand and manage their emotions and to make better choices in life.
In the new year, construction will start on our state-of-the-art three storey building, that will house not only our current grades, but will have room for growth for our school to continue all the way through to Grade 7.
