Grade 6 English / Math Teacher

Job Summary/Key Duties:

The responsibilities are:
Teach in such a manner as to be the ‘living curriculum’ reflecting the love and character of Christ.
Engage in class teaching, which will foster a purposeful progression in learning, consistent with a Biblical Worldview as determined.
Be a class register teacher.
Prepare lessons taking into account curriculum documents, regional Biblical Integration courses, new approaches, techniques, evaluation, aids, etc. in their field.
Take co-ordination a leadership role concerning the subject, learning area, or phase, if required.
Plan, coordinate, control, administer, evaluate, and report on learners’ academic progress.
Share in the responsibilities of organising and conducting extra- and co-curricular activities.
Manage, plan, assist and promote activities (sport and culture) within the school,
Manage, plan, assist, and promote discipline within the grades/phase.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Consideration will be given to candidates with:

• An appropriate academic and professional education qualification from a recognised institution
• Current SACE registration
• A clear criminal record
• Minimum of 5 years of teaching experience in the primary school, preferably in a Christian school.
