About Us

"Our first experience of ACSI was a visit from Erith Budge to explain the benefits of membership with ACSI. The two phrases I remember from that visit are: “at ACSI we are all family”, and “we pray for all our member schools”. We were welcomed into the ACSI fold, and in God’s providence, it’s one of the foundational decisions that has kept Trinity’s doors open through the many challenges that can beset a pioneer school.
The levels of support we receive from ACSI are so diverse and multi-faceted that space does not allow me to itemize them all: from informal mentoring via conversations and phone calls with ACSI leadership (sometimes on weekends when crisis has loomed) to the provision of every kind of policy; from teacher training and workshops to vital updates from the DBE and WCED, we have been strengthened and supported at every turn by our brothers and sisters in Christ.
As a novice principal, I have had many occasions to phone Erith with what seemed to be the challenge to end all challenges. Only to have him open his figurative filing cabinet of stories and share with me the wisdom gleaned from his own experiences. What encouragement and guidance we have received!
Just when I thought it couldn’t get better, we attended the National Principals’ Conference in May this year. This is where my eyes were opened to the fact that we are nestled not only in a prayerful and committed network of support at a local level but draw on cutting edge support from around the globe through the work of ACSI international.
All this has served to underline the fact that ACSI is indeed like family, and under God, are being used to flourish the cause of Christian education in Cape Town, Southern Africa, indeed – around the world! Soli Deo gloria!"
