Meet the ACSI Board members
Cobus has served in Christian education for 28 years. He is currently the Executive Head and Chairperson of the Board at Rabboni Christian School and is serving as the ACSI Southern Africa Regional Director.
Erith has served in Christian education for 45 years and was the Headmaster of El Shaddai Christian School for 25 years. Erith is currently an educational consultant and is serving as the ACSI Western Cape Provincial Coordinator.
Shann has served in Christian education for over 30 years. She retired as School Principal at Eastside School, Pretoria, at the end of 2021 and currently serves as part-time policy writer for ACSI South Africa.
Martin started by serving in full time intercession and men’s ministry for two years, before transitioning into education as his ministry in 2012. In 2016 he took the next step of faith by moving to Potchefstroom to establish StudyXpress Potchefstroom, a dual-medium, DBE registered and UMALUSI accredited independent Christian school for Grade RR to 12 learners.
Kgethi has served in Christian education for 11 years. She is currently the principal at Kingsway Christian School in Johannesburg. She serves as a director on the Kingsway Centre of Concern Board and as a Board member of ACSI South Africa. Kgethi is the current chairperson of the Gauteng Joint Liaison Committee (GJLC) as the ACSI representative.
Kobus has a background in business and ran his own company, as well as spending some time in ministry as a pastor at Maranatha Church. Since June 2017 he has served as Executive Head at Maranatha Christian School.
Bertie has served in Christian education for ten years. He is currently the Principal of the Primary Department at Eagles Nest Christian School. He also serves as an Executive Member of the Limpopo Independent Schools Association (LISA) and represents the Limpopo Joint Liaison Committee (LJLC) on the National Alliance of Independent Schools (NAISA).
Stefan has served in Christian education and leadership development for several years. Early in his journey, he joined a small team on a faith-filled backpacking outreach through 21 countries, serving communities and partnering with local ministries across diverse cultures. This formative experience contributed to the pioneering of Global Challenge in 2006, a movement focused on discipleship, education, and community impact. He is currently the Principal of Global Leadership Academy, where he continues to champion innovative, values-based leadership development among young people.
Kean has been an English teacher for 33 years, and the Headmaster of Treverton College for eight of those years. He has a passion for adventure as a platform for education, and for the role of Christian schools in leading young people to Christ.
Neil has taught and served in leadership roles in a number of schools across South Africa. He is currently the National Director of ACSI South Africa.
