Global Day of Prayer 2024
ACSI
Tuesday 27th February was a very special day on the ACSI calendar, as schools across the world celebrated the ACSI Global Day of Prayer. The theme for this year’s Day of Prayer was Faithfulness, and this became the focus for all ACSI schools and offices, uniting us as we thanked God for his incredible love and faithfulness.
The ACSI office received numerous photos and videos of the activities which were enjoyed in our schools in South – and Southern – Africa, and it certainly seemed that a good time was had by all. It was an opportunity for schools to remind their children and teachers of the power of prayer, whether communal or individual.
At 2pm, the ACSI office hosted a Prayer Hour, the first of four which we will hold during the year. It was very special to join with leaders, teachers and administrators from South Africa and Zimbabwe, as we prayed through several aspects of the faithfulness theme.
Then, at 5.30pm the ACSI team joined with other ACSI offices across the world via Zoom. What an incredible experience it was to have about 150 people from hugely diverse nations united in prayer! Smaller breakout groups allowed individuals to mention specific prayer needs, either for their schools or for ACSI, for which the group then prayed.
The whole day was really special, and a reminder that we are all brothers and sisters in Christ, united in our love for the Lord, and dedicated to serve in the great calling of Christian education.
The ACSI Prayer Hour dates for the rest of the year are:
23rd April at 14h00
23rd July at 14h00
15th October at 14h00
We would love to have you join us for these meaningful times together.
