Spring Colour Celebration
Author: ACSI Partner School | King’s School Discovery
Colour holds special significance as it is used to evoke emotion and convey meaning. Colour is used in the Bible to show us biblical truths. At The King’s School Discovery, we celebrated 1st September with a Colour Run Celebration.
The Spring Colour Celebration has become an annual event where learners receive three coloured powder packets to sprinkle on their friends. The learners dress in white, for purity. The colours include yellow for glory; blue for the healing power of God; green for the Resurrection and purple for royalty. Of course, besides the deep symbolism, there is the essential element of fun and freedom as learners chase each other, while throwing the powder paint. It was a wonderful reminder that our God is a God of light, colour and joy as we see in Rev 4:3: “The One sitting on the throne was as brilliant as gemstones—like jasper and carnelian. And the glow of an emerald circled his throne like a rainbow.”
