MATHEMATICS INTERN TEACHER

Start Date: 01/01/2027 | Closing Date: 09/11/2026

Job Summary/Key Duties:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated intern teacher to support our academic team while he/she develops as a trainee educator. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to teach, a love for learners, and a heart for Christian education.

Applicant Requirements:
• A born-again Christian who desires to actively support the school’s Christian values and mission.
• Currently enrolled (or enrolling) in a recognised teaching degree programme (B.Ed. or PGCE).
• Demonstrate a love for children and a calling to Christian education.
• Be willing to learn under experienced educators and contribute to the life of the school.
• Be responsible, teachable, and display a strong work ethic.
• Be able to support the school’s Christian ethos both through personal example and discipleship.
• Committed to supporting a professional, ethical, and Christ-centered classroom environment.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Duties Will Include:

  • Assisting class teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and administration.
  • Developing practical teaching skills under the guidance of mentors.
  • Attending relevant meetings, workshops, and forums as required.
  • Participating in extracurricular and general school activities as needed.

 

Key Competencies:

  • Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to clearly explain concepts.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with colleagues, learners, and parents.
  • Passionate about Christian education, inspiring learners to develop in all areas of school life.
  • Creative, flexible, and innovative.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and model Christian character in all areas of school life.
