Eagles Nest - Zimbabwe Outreach 2023
ACSI Partner School
Full of excitement, in a packed bus, a team of 7 high school learners, Sir Mac, teachers Elsa and Freda, and Samuel (school worker) left for Zimbabwe. Outside Bulawayo, the front bearing of the school bus broke. A family hosted us on a plot outside Bulawayo. We experience God`s love through the family. We harvested and watered vegetables, spring-cleaned the house, had Bible study times and enjoyed Sir Mac`s 70th birthday with grateful hearts.
Johan and Zennie brought another school bus through to Bulawayo, and we journeyed through to Chinhoyi to meet the FCE team. We then proceeded through to Kanyaga and reached Makesure and Martha and their family. At Kanyaga we had a day of singing, playing, and sharing with the preschool learners of Foundation Pre-school.
The times of praise and worship, sharing with girls, making food on an open fire, sleeping in tents, no cellphones, and fetching water and firewood were life-changing.
We thank the Lord for his protection! It was a once in a lifetime opportunity to experience God`s beautiful creation, to make new friends and serve others.
