Tuesday the 4th of March was a very special day on the ACSI calendar, as thousands of Christian schools across the globe celebrated the ACSI Global Day of Prayer. Some used the excellent resources which were available on the ACSI website, while others created their own special moments – all focused on the power of coming together in prayer. Here in South Africa and across Southern Africa schools sent us feedback, along with photos and videos from their own meaningful events, some of which we share with you below.

At 2pm the ACSI Southern Africa team joined up with school leaders from across the region to pray together during our Prayer Hour. The focus of the time together was on the ACSI Global theme of Abide, as we reminded ourselves of the powerful words of John 15:4-5  “Abide in me, as I abide in you. Just as the branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me.”

Later that evening, the ACSI Southern Africa team joined our colleagues across the world for an online time of prayer and sharing. What a powerful occasion it was as several hundred ACSI staff members linked up across continents and country lines to thank God for his faithfulness and to bring our prayers of intercession to him. Many of these prayers were linked to the Global Day of Prayer map, on which virtually every country served by ACSI had posted prayer requests. We were reminded again of the power of collective prayer and of how special it is to serve as part of the ACSI family.

Enjoy just a few of the hundreds of photos which were sent to us from our schools:
