Pre-School Educator
Start Date: 05/10/2026 | Closing Date: 02/10/2026
Job Summary/Key Duties:
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate, play-based learning activities.
Provide a safe, caring and stimulating classroom environment.
Support children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.
Teach foundational skills through stories, songs, games, art, music and practical activities.
Encourage positive behaviour, sharing, cooperation and independence.
Observe and monitor each child’s progress and development.
Identify individual needs and provide appropriate support.
Maintain accurate records of attendance, observations and developmental progress.
Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding their child’s progress and wellbeing.
Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
Assist with daily routines including meals, toileting, rest times and personal hygiene.
Maintain a clean, organised and child-friendly classroom.
Prepare learning materials, displays and classroom resources.
Participate in school events, activities and staff meetings.
Uphold the school’s values, policies and procedures, including its Christian ethos.
Ensure the wellbeing and safety of all learners at all times.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Have appropriate academic and professional qualifications from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Have proof of current SACE registration.
- Have previous teaching experience.
- Be a committed, motivated, dynamic and innovative educator who encourages curiosity in a world where knowledge is not just learned in the classroom.
- Be prepared to work uncompromisingly with a biblically integrated approach in their subjects.
- Maintain standards of academic excellence and work collaboratively with other educators.
- Be fully committed to the co-curricular programme of the school.
- Be willing to participate in teacher training and stay up to date with current teaching methods and practices applicable to their teaching area.
- Be available and willing to support/participate in functions/activities when required.
- Have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have a passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering academic excellence.
- Have flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
