Job Summary/Key Duties:
The High School English post
The post is a standard full-time Junior High School English teacher role with potential to move into the Senior High School in due course. The website advertisement will be removed as soon as the position is filled.
Key Responsibilities:
Grade 8 English (an enriched CAPS syllabus (Language and Literature)
Grade 9 English Language (beginning the Cambridge IGCSE English course in June) OR
Grade 9 English Literature (beginning the Cambridge IGCSE English course in June)
Assisting with extra-mural activities, as required.
Teaching the curriculum content from a Biblical Worldview perspective.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Requirements:
- An appropriate qualification (B.A Eng. with a PGCE or a B.Ed. with English).
- Experience in teaching the CAPS or IEB English syllabus in Grades 7 to 9.
- Experience in teaching the Cambridge IGCSE English Language and/or Literature course will be an advantage.
Language of instruction: English
Guidance and support will be provided by a network of English teachers in a shared collaborative office.

General details:

This is a full-time position (07:30 – 15:30 daily).
All full-time staff are also expected to attend two staff meetings after school until 16:00.
The applicant should have an applicable qualification in English.
Staff are required to participate in the High School extra-mural programme.
