Bring the Bible to life in the classroom

The Bible Project | ACSI Service Provider

Since 2009, Argentinian missionary Luis Bush has championed the 4/14 Window Movement, a global initiative focussed on helping children between the ages of 4 and 14 to encounter and respond to the message of the Bible during their most formative years.

This window of time is often when children are most open to spiritual and emotional formation. This means that teachers are in a unique position to help young people to explore the Bible and discover how its story can shape their lives.

BibleProject is a free resource designed to support educators in this important work. Through high-quality, animated videos and study tools, BibleProject helps students to experience the Bible as a unified story that leads to Jesus.

You’ll find videos that answer questions like:

  • “What does Jesus mean when He says, don’t worry?”
  • “Why should we read the Old Testament if Jesus only arrives in the New?”
  • “How does Jonah – or Moses – point to Jesus?”

Each video brings biblical themes and books to life in a way that’s visual, engaging, and accessible. They’re ideal for helping students connect the dots between what they read and what it means for their lives today.

Ways to use BibleProject content in the classroom

  1. Visual learning tools

Use the short, animated videos to introduce or reinforce biblical themes. Students often retain complex ideas more easily through visuals.

  1. Weekly Bible classes

Build BibleProject into weekly Bible classes as part of a thematic or chronological study plan.

  1. Class discussions

Play a video and use the free study notes or discussion guides to spark meaningful conversation. Encourage students to journal about what they learned and how it connects to Jesus.

  1. Group projects

Let students pick a theme (like “heaven and earth” or “holiness”), watch the video, and present a creative response (poster, skit, essay).

  1. Listening stations or homework

Older students can listen to BibleProject podcasts for homework – engaging deeper questions in an accessible, narrative style.

  1. Other translations

Much of the content is translated into Afrikaans, Kiswahili and isiZulu – helpful for language learners and bilingual classrooms.
